The size guide is inaccurate. I ordered two sizes, expecting the XL to be correct, but he actually needed the XXL. The company have 0 tolerance for the need to try things to get the right fit, and their guidance is minimal.

Bought an XL but really too big! Blame myself as I was so excited to tear off the tags & get Dazz out in his new coat. We’d originally bought him a Medium 18 months ago & he just kept growing. Then last winter, I bought a Large coat for him from Dry Dogs, lovely coat but no bigger than the Medium from Trendy Whippet. Anyhow, he’s outgrown both of them in width & depth as he’s a deep chested coursing whippet. So I thought XL would give him a little extra coverage to keep his bum warm when it rains but this coat, though beautiful and warm, makes him look like swamped. Not Trendy whippets fault, but shame on me…Dazz has gone from busting out of his tiny coat to looking lost & drowned in a coat more suited a greyhound.
